Sydney Currie is a painter from Ottawa, Ontario, currently based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She will graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD University) in May 2025. Currie’s painting practice is largely process-oriented, exploring gesture, mark-making, and form through meditation, somatics, and automatic movement. Her debut solo exhibition, The Dance, was held the week of January 13, 2025, at the Anna Leonowens Gallery in Halifax.
